We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
Edward and Shea first knew of each other in high school but it wasn’t until years later that their connection flourished over social media. Edward eventually happened to move closer to Shea and their relationship took off! Edward was drawn to her kind heart and dependability and Shea fell for his capable, can-do nature. Whether they are hiking, kayaking, cooking delicious meals, gardening or completing home improvement projects, they always make a good team. They truly are a lighthearted, down-to-earth couple and I love that this was reflected in their wedding. The sun was just peeking over the horizon. Shea and the girls were getting ready for her wedding day in a little corner of paradise, her mom’s home. The inside of the house was so cheerful. And when you walked outside there were trees, shrubs, and flower beds bursting with blooms. There were lots and lots of pots everywhere filled with flowers. Just knocking on the front door, I felt like I was coming home. It was an intimate affair with just their closest friends and family. I’m so obsessed with Shea’s knee-length lace wedding dress and cute retro shoes! She looked soooo adorable! It was a beautiful ceremony at the little known Lydie’s Cottage on the grounds of the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, OK. It was touching seeing all the support from friends and family to help out. They had the sweetest little flower girls. The reception at the Ponca City Country Club felt like a cozy laid-back brunch. Guests mingled at the bar and the kids flew kites on the lawn. They had a delicious naked cake and plenty of food. What an amazing day!
