We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
Tucked in the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Mansion at Woodward Park, became the picture-perfect setting for one of the most heartfelt and beautifully intimate elopements we’ve had the joy of capturing. Johnathan and Bricelynn chose to begin their forever in early spring, just as the world was shaking off winter and blooming into something new. The timing couldn’t have been more poetic. With nature softly coming back to life, The Mansion’s stately charm and surrounding gardens felt like something out of a dream, and the historic greenhouse conservatory offered a stunning, romantic backdrop for their ceremony.
What made the day even more special was the thoughtfulness of the Tulsa Garden Center staff. Knowing Johnathan and Bricelynn’s elopement was on the horizon, the team went out of their way to prioritize planting seasonal blooms in the sunken garden directly in front of the conservatory. The effort didn’t go unnoticed. The flowers, friends, and family were joyful witnesses, basking in the morning sunshine creating an atmosphere that felt both grand and deeply personal.
The ceremony was intentionally small, with only immediate family present. It was quiet. Meaningful. Full of soft laughter, loving glances, and that fluttery kind of emotion that only happens when you know you’re witnessing something truly significant. After a few happy tears, hugs, and heartfelt congratulations, the newlyweds wandered hand-in-hand through the mansion and surrounding grounds, soaking in their first moments as husband and wife. The Mansion itself became a character in their love story. Its vintage architecture and sunlit nooks providing a stunning canvas for their first day as a married couple. Johnathan and Bricelynn’s elopement reminded us that sometimes the most powerful moments are the quiet ones. No frills. No crowd. Just love, nature, and a place that feels like magic.
To the sweet couple, thank you for letting us be part of such a tender and beautiful beginning. Your day was pure springtime serenity, and your love shone brighter than any flower in bloom. Congrats Johnathan and Bricelynn! Friends, thank you all for stopping by and please follow our latest work on Instagram!
