When I hear quotes about marriage being an adventure I think of Matt and Audrey. I think their relationship was summed up best during Audrey’s sister’s toast at the reception. Following the ceremony, everyone had gathered at the Bricktown Brewery in Downtown Oklahoma City. She took her glass and told the story about how Audrey met Matt. Audrey told her sister that a guy had asked her to go on a road trip with him for spring break. She wasn’t dating him, they had only recently met, and he offered to pay for everything. Obviously a concerning situation for an older sister, but Audrey is a free spirit and the guy seemed nice. Matt and Audrey have been together ever since and with Matt in the Air Force, their adventures have just begun. It was an amazing wedding day morning spent in rooms overlooking the city skyline at the Aloft Hotel in OKC’s Bricktown. Through happy tears Audrey flipped through a scrapbook of memories and well wishes put together by her supportive bridesmaids. The day was filled with many more heartwarming moments but I will never forget watching Audrey and her Dad wipe tears from each other’s faces after surprising him for the first time in her dress. With their wedding party in tow, they braved the wind and the cold {it was very cold!} to venture by foot downtown before returning to top of the hotel to say their I Do’s. Matt and Audrey, I think you had the perfect wedding…it was so you! You trimmed out all the unneeded extras and added more heart. ? Audrey you are a beautiful carefree girl and Matt, I can now see how Audrey trusted you from the start. You are a true blue gentleman.
Congrats Matt and Audrey! What a loyal group of friends you two have to follow you unquestionably into the cold but it sure was a fun afternoon and a killer dance party!
