We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
Who would have thought that Haley’s mom would have remembered our photos that hung on the wall of a local coffee shop 8 years ago when looking for a photographer for her daughter’s wedding. It was very stirring looking back and remembering how our creative business started. But most of all, it’s beyond heartwarming that she made this connection and trusted us. We were then extra excited when we got to capture Tristan and Haley against the beautiful landscape of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We love destination weddings! They are totally our jam. Yes, it can be extra time, money, and travel for guests but you know that the people who are there are your biggest supporters. We love the intimate vibe of it all and it adds a bit of adventure for everyone going. Plus you can get married at the foot of a mountain!
Tristan & Haley wed in the beautiful mountains of Colorado at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, CO amidst tall evergreens and with wild turkeys, chipmunks, elks, and colorful birds all around. The whole day was so beautiful being high up in the mountains with nature and just taking in the scenery with their closest friends and families from all over the states. I’m so obsessed with Haley and her gorgeous beaded capelet. And Tristan looked so good in his plum colored suit jacket. Being outside in the Rocky Mountains, their ceremony was breathtaking but their reception was equally as lovely. The bride and groom’s family have serious decorating skills! This wedding was beyond gorgeous and their reception was simply fun and very relaxed. It helped that we were all serenaded by the music of Frank Sinatra and treated to a gelato bar and dessert table. It was wonderful seeing all the support from their closest family and friends. Overall, it was an amazing day and I love that everything reflected them together.
So grateful to be part of their joyous day. Congrats Tristan and Haley! We surely had a blast traveling to the Rocky Mountains and meeting all your wonderful friends & families!
