Culturally Vibrant Wedding at Coles Garden

Andrew and Jessica’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and heartfelt moments, set against the stunning backdrop of Coles Garden in Oklahoma City. From start to finish, their celebration was full of intentionality, vibrant color, and so much love. The day began with a nod to Andrew’s Vietnamese heritage. Dressed in their elegant Ao Dài, Andrew and Jessica participated in a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony. It’s a time-honored ritual where the couple pays respect to their elders, offers tea to family members, and receives blessings and words of wisdom for their future together. It was an emotional and meaningful way to start the day, surrounded by the warmth and love of family.

Afterward, the couple changed into their Western attire for the rest of the day’s festivities. Jessica looked absolutely radiant in a lacy gown with dreamy off-shoulder tulle sleeves, while Andrew stunned in a tailored deep green suit that was both bold and timeless. They shared a private first look in the gardens of Coles Garden, with the sunlight filtering through the trees and the excitement of the day settling sweetly in the air.

The ceremony took place at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, where they exchanged vows in a setting filled with tradition, reverence, and joy. Afterward, the newlyweds were whisked back to Coles Garden, where the celebration truly came to life. The reception was bursting with blooms! Colorful floral arrangements lined the tables. I will never forget their cake. It rose like a sculpture of yumminess out of a forest of flowers straight from a fairytale. Guests were welcomed with bubble tea and a grand spread of Vietnamese cuisine which was flavorful, comforting, and delicious. As the sun began to set, Andrew and Jessica took a quiet stroll along the tree-lined walkways, pausing to soak in the sounds of the bubbling waterfall by the pond. It was a serene moment of togetherness before the party kicked into full swing.

The reception was electric with live music, dancing, and so much laughter filling the air. One of Jessica and Andrews wedding gifts was a live artist at the reception painting their portrait. It was amazing to watch the work of art come to life before your eyes. Our sister company, Mod Fox Photobooth, was also on-site capturing fun and candid moments to help tell the whole story of the party. Andrew and Jessica’s wedding was a celebration of heritage, love, and the blending of two beautiful worlds. From Ao Dài to dance floor, every detail was a reflection of who they are, and it was an absolute honor to document every moment.

It’s better with music!

May your life together be rich with joy, deep love, and the beautiful blending of your cultures. Andrew and Jessica, what a gift it was to witness your day. And friends, thank you so much for following along and sharing in their story.
