We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. Lou and Grace got married! And it truly felt like it was straight out of a fairytale at Daffodil Hill Weddings + Events! Lou is in the U.S. Air Force and Grace is a talented photographer. We were so honored that a fellow photographer chose us to capture their extraordinary day. Their story started with a match made on Tinder but with Lou in the military he was deployed two days later. Then one day Grace saw Lou posting photos from Sedona, Arizona which happens to be a very special place to her as well. It happens that they both grew up spending Christmas with their grandparents in Sedona. It was more than an online match. It was meant to be. And Lou later popped the question on New Year’s Eve.
We remember arriving at Grace’s house the morning of her wedding. It was buzzing! A few were prepping florals and decors, most of them were doing their hair and makeup, and others were putting together the tossing petals. We just loved the vibe of that early morning as we watched Grace, her friends, and family come together to make it all happen. Daffodil Hill is a cute cottage surrounded by gardens in the middle of Oklahoma City. The perfect wedding venue for Lou and Grace’s intimate wedding. I love the fountain, the tree swing, and the arbor covered with vines. It’s so green and alive and when the sun goes down the area is lit by softly glowing bistro lights. It’s amazing!
It was intimate and I loved how involved their family and friends were. Lou’s father and brother were there right beside him as groomsmen and Grace’s friend who happens to be a talented florist put together all the bouquets and centerpieces. Grace is beautiful inside and out and has a great heart. Lou is brave and kind at his core. We adore Lou & Grace. It was an amazing day like none other, seeing the immense love that these two people share, and filled with all the happy purple colors!
