Stylish Tulsa Wedding at The Mayo Hotel
There’s something magical about wedding mornings. There’s a soft anticipation and stillness before the celebration unfolds. And at The Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa, that feeling is magnified. With its storied Art Deco history, soaring ceilings, and timeless glamour, The Mayo has a way of making every moment feel like it belongs in a film. Brett & Ryan’s wedding was no exception. Their day began quietly, meaningfully, and just how they wanted it. Before the suits, before the music, before the guests arrived, Brett and Ryan met up with their moms to rehearse their formal dances. It was an emotional and grounding moment, full of laughter and grace, and a beautiful way to ease into the day. After getting ready in separate rooms, the grooms met for their first look. It was a tender, quiet pause in the swirl of the day. As they exchanged personalized monogrammed cufflinks, gently fastening them onto each other. The moment became a memory in real time: intentional, emotional, and filled with quiet pride.
Guests were welcomed into The Mayo’s ballroom by the sound of a live string quartet, the notes echoing softly through the grand space. The room was a breathtaking blend of masculinity and romance with a clean black and white palette, softened by an abundance of florals that brought elegance and warmth to the celebration. Brett & Ryan chose not to have a wedding party, and that choice added a serene intimacy to the ceremony. Guests sat at their tables, watching with full hearts as the two exchanged vows surrounded by love. One of Brett and Ryan’s favorite moments came just after the ceremony, when they were whisked away to the rooftop for a moment alone. With the Tulsa skyline behind them and golden hour wrapping the city in light, they stood side by side, married at last. Literally on top of the world, and it was so well deserved.
The reception brought the ballroom to life. Under a soft, romantic purple glow, The Mayo’s historic charm and dramatic windows transformed into something truly magical. Gold accents sparkled, flowers bloomed under candlelight, and a shelf filled with blueberry cheesecakes and desserts tempted every guest. One unforgettable touch? A live cigar roller, hand-rolling cigars on-site. It was equal parts performance, favor, and conversation starter. As the sun set, the string quartet gave way to a rocking live band, and the ballroom became a full-blown celebration. The dance floor stayed full until late into the night, when Brett & Ryan were swept into a whirlwind of streamers, sparklers, laughter, and love. Their wedding was more than beautiful. It was intentional, soulful, and deeply personal. From quiet rooftop moments to the rhythm of the dance floor, Brett & Ryan’s day was a celebration of love, partnership, and finding joy in the in-betweens.
It’s better with music!
To these two beautiful souls, it was such an honor to capture your day. Here’s to a lifetime of magical moments together. Congratulations, Brett & Ryan! And friends, thank you so much for being here and celebrating with us.
