Forest Wedding at Merrick Hollow

Merrick Hollow is a wedding venue in Oklahoma but it feels more like stepping into a corner of the Shire. It’s the definition of a hidden gem! With its treehouse vibes and woodsy surroundings, it was the perfect setting for Travis and Kristen’s forest wedding. Their wedding colors were emerald green and gold, a choice that added to the natural beauty of the place. The bridesmaids looked stunning in their green hued dresses and even Travis embraced the theme with a stylish green suit. The entire wedding party blended seamlessly with the lush surroundings, creating a harmonious scene. Merrick Hollow itself is an enchanting wedding venue, complete with a fire pit and winding floating walkways that invite exploration and wonder. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a delightful pop-up coffee bar from Balanced Coffee, a local favorite in Stillwater. This unique touch set the tone for a wedding day filled with warmth and charm. Even for us as hired wedding photographers, we felt like we were hanging out with our friends and just happened to bring our cameras. Coincidentally, amongst the guests were three couples who’s weddings we’ve photographed over the past years. With so many familiar faces, it was like a reunion! Travis and Kristen are the kindest couple and we hope that we also remain friends in the years to come.

The ceremony took place tucked inside the forest, where the sun glowed through the trees, casting a golden light on the couple as they stood before a flower-adorned hexagonal arch. It was a scene straight out of a fairytale. The cocktail hour was also held outside, featuring an outdoor bar and lawn games that kept guests entertained surrounded by the serene beauty. It was a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, perfect for celebrating love. Boasting massive windows, even indoors enjoying dinner, Merrick Hollow offers breathtaking views of the natural landscape. As the sun set, the guests danced the night away and kept each other company late into the night sitting by the fire or chatting basked in the glow of the bistro light and twinkling stars.

Travis and Kristen’s wedding at Merrick Hollow was truly unforgettable. From the enchanting forest ceremony to the vibrant outdoor cocktail hour and spirited dancing under the open sky, every moment overflowed with meaning. Their celebration reflected their love so beautifully, set against one of Oklahoma’s most distinctive and breathtaking venues. Congratulations, Travis and Kristen!
