We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. Hank and Lauren were newly hired teachers for an elementary school in Bartlesville, OK. They learned the ropes together and became fast friends. So when Hank asked her out on their first date, Lauren was worried it may ruin the friendship that she has come to depend on. They happily found that their friendship prevailed and grew. Many of their favorite memories are at the Rodeo Arena in Moline, Kansas…dancing and laughing together as the sun set. One night Hank took Lauren out to dinner and as expected they headed out to the Rodeo Arena to watch the sunset. Hank threw her off by talking about how he couldn’t wait to marry her “someday”. As the sun was setting Hank pulled a ring out of his pocket and Lauren was truly surprised that someday was today. Hank and Lauren’s favorite thing to do is spend time with each other. So we all headed to Kansas to some hidden waterfalls that we’d heard. It’s a beautiful place to get away and explore together. Spend the day with these two and I guarantee watching them smile and laugh with each other, will bring a smile to your face too. They are true friends and madly in love. To end the night, it was a must that we head out to their favourite spot at the Rodeo Arena. They reminisced all the fun nights together, the proposal, and of course…watched the sunset.
It was awesome exploring the waterfalls and forest with with you two. And thank you for taking us back to the Rodeo Arena grounds for your Kansas engagement where it all started.
