We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
Mallory was excited to go up to Olympia, WA this past Christmas just because she got to spend time with Chris. Little did she know, Chris had an extra surprise in mind. Decorating the tree, Mallory was about to hang an ornament when she noticed something different about it. The ornament looked like it could be opened. Chris encouraged her to open it and nestled inside sparkled a diamond ring! Chris asked Mallory to marry him and she said yes of course! We first met up with Mallory in OKC because Chris was still in Washington for work. When we asked her what place had meaning to them, she told us about how she first met Chris at the Wormy Dog Saloon in Bricktown OKC and they enjoyed walking their dog Jake around Lake Hefner. It sounded like great places to all of us so that’s exactly what we did for their engagement session. There was a definite chill in the air but these two have the warmest personalities. We’re totally dog people and it was awesome getting to meet Jake. He is a beautiful golden. While most were spending this January day inside, we ventured out and it felt like we had downtown and the lake all to ourselves. Chris and Mallory are so sweet to one another and obviously madly in love. It was a beautiful day to remember. I can’t wait for their wedding at the Skirvin Hotel in OKC.
I never knew the sunsets at the Lake Hefner lighthouse were so stunning. I felt like we were transported somewhere else. Thank you Chris and Mallory for being such good sports with the cold. That afternoon was so much fun and we definitely won’t forget it. We’re so excited to shoot your wedding this fall! Friends, thank you all for stopping by and make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram!
