We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
We’ve been the biggest fans of this couple from the moment we first met Jenny at a local coffee shop and heard about their stories together. We fell in love with Jenny right away. She is gorgeous and has the kindest soul. Then we met Chris on a trip to New Mexico for their engagement session at White Sands who is so crazy in love with her. They are brave and genuinely compassionate people. These two are truly meant to be together and we had been anxiously waiting with them for their Tulsa wedding to finally come. First there was the pandemic, then there was all the craziness with the Trump rally in Tulsa, OK. But nothing has ever stopped them in the past and nothing could stop this couple from having the most amazing Mayo Hotel Wedding. And it was!
It was such a heartwarming wedding day morning at The Mayo Hotel. Tears were shed as Jenny exchanged gifts with her parents and had a first look with her dad and Chris. We’re so lucky that we could witness it. Jenny looked absolutely stunning! Her dress was amazing, she had the prettiest bouquet, and you can never go wrong with sparkly Jimmy Choos! It’s crazy to think that just outside were army guys and protesters roaming the streets. There’s always things that don’t quite go as planned {maybe not as big as a Trump rally next door lol} but really the only thing that matters is that at the end of the day they were married at Holy Family Cathedral surrounded by their family, friends, and biggest supporters. It’s all about attitude. Chris and Jenny were so calm and cool about everything. When we entered the crystal ballroom after rooftop skyline newlywed photos, I just had this sense of calm and serenity. It was truly elegant and beautiful! Nicole Allen Events and Uprooted Designs did such an awesome job! Their whole wedding day was a whirlwind of excitement and love that we will never forget.
