Music Filled Wedding at Sparrow Beginnings
Music played a beautiful role in Daniel and Emily’s wedding day, from the ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church to the celebration at Sparrow Beginnings in Stillwater, OK. Their story actually began with music — Emily was looking for a guitarist to help cover a church service, and through faith and music their relationship began to grow. We first met this wonderful couple a few years ago while photographing a friend’s wedding. Daniel was the videographer we worked alongside that day, and Emily sang and played the piano during the celebration. They stood out immediately — not only for their incredible talent, but for the creativity and warmth they brought to everything they did. It’s funny how their love of music and art ultimately led them back to us as well.

Colorful arrangements by Garden Party Florist filled the spaces with life and texture — the kind of blooms you wish you could wake up to every morning. Emily looked absolutely radiant as well. Her gown was timeless and elegant, and yes, we’ll admit we have a bit of a soft spot for lace sleeves. One especially meaningful detail was the wedding rings, which were lovingly crafted by Daniel’s father.
Music continued to take center stage during the ceremony, with beautiful songs led by talented musicians in the loft at St. Francis. As the ceremony unfolded, it quickly became clear that many of their friends were gifted vocalists as well — harmonies drifted through the pews as guests joined in song. Once everyone arrived at Sparrow Beginnings, the celebration truly came to life. A live band filled the evening with lively melodies, and before long the dance floor was buzzing with energy. One of the most unforgettable moments of the night came when guests began an impromptu karaoke session — backed by the band. At one point Emily herself stepped on stage, still in her wedding dress, singing her heart out. It was one of those moments that perfectly captured the spirit of the day — joyful, creative, and filled with love. Being newly married, surrounded by family and friends, and celebrating through music is a memory we’ll never forget. These are the moments that stay with us long after the day is over, and we feel so grateful to have been there to witness it all.
