We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
Out of the blue we got a message from one of our cutest past couples. We photographed their wedding at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Their message went something like this: “Just randomly reaching out. One, because I miss y’all and two…We are flying out to Seattle, and adventuring in the Olympic National Park. I know it’s a last minute invite, but wanted to see if you guys would want to fly out and do an anniversary shoot.” We were having a hard time replying because we were too busy packing our bags! YES! A million times YES! It’s always a treat when a couple takes us with them on one of their amazing trips! We spent the day enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest together. Taking them to some new places and giving them photos to look back on forever. Hopefully we made their anniversary weekend a little bit more special!
As we do on special trips like this, we started the day celebrating their anniversary having lunch together at the cutest little cafe. Then it was time to head out and enjoy all the treasures the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We love how easy it is to just immerse ourselves in nature when we’re in Washington. We started off at Marymere Falls near Port Angeles and I love that we could get so close that you could feel the mist from the waterfall. We headed out to the mountains, literally driving through the fog and clouds to reach the top, and hiked around Hurricane Ridge. They danced in the snow and deers would come by to say hello. We ended the day taking in the view at their AirBnB by Lake Sutherland. They shared their anniversary cake and beer by the water. Throughout the session, we saw how much these two deeply love each other with every bit of their energy and soul. It seriously was such a beautiful thing to watch and capture! We’re always so thankful every time we get to meet up with David and Meagan! They are two of our favourite people for sure.
