We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. Photographing Colby and Becca’s wedding at The Pearl District Building in Tulsa, OK was like coming home. All the time we spent with them during their engagement session at Turner Falls and all the back-and-forth with planning, they are more than clients, they are friends. And it was a treat seeing her sister again whose wedding we photographed years back and finally meeting her new little one. So many familiar faces! Their family and friends are so kind, helpful, and fun to be around. I’m glad it was such a good crew because it was hot out! After getting ready we headed into scorching downtown Tulsa. Becca looked absolutely stunning and Colby made a dashing groom. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen were such troopers beating the 94°F weather.
It may have been hot but Colby and Becca are such a cool couple! They are quiet but adventurous and always up for anything. After trekking downtown, we swung by Centennial Park before heading to The Pearl District Building for the ceremony and reception. The brick walls and chandeliers give it a romantic and cozy feel while the wine barrels and exposed beams add an industrial hip vibe. Candles lining the aisle made it even more intimate and the handwritten signage was a special detail. Luckily there was plenty of room for dancing because it was a hopping party! At the end of the night, guests loaded up at the popcorn and candy bar before sending these two off with sparklers for their grand exit.
Congrats Colby & Becca! It was such a fun day and we adore your family and friends so much! We know you have many adventures ahead of you.
