We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. These two souls are are truly an awesome couple and we were so excited for their Postoak Lodge wedding in Tulsa, OK. One thing about Emily, her dress getting a bit dirty is the very least of her worries. She’s all about having the time of her life on their wedding day and just enjoying every moment with the people she loves the most. Travis is so kind and supportive. He was actually the one who first reached out to us and who we corresponded the most with during the wedding planning, which from my experience is saying something. From the very start, he was very hands on and so excited to marry his best friend. It was truly such a treat working with and getting to know them better. We always work closely with our couples as they plan their wedding and we actually ran into them at their friend’s wedding that we were photographing. So, by the time we showed up for their Tulsa wedding, we already felt like friends.
Once the guests arrived to Travis and Emily’s wedding, they were led off down a bistro lined path through the trees to a dreamy and woodsy shelter. The sun glowed through the oaks as they laughed, cried, and said their vows. Watching Travis and Emily walking off from their ceremony into the forest was watching pure happiness! Hand in hand and all smiles, Travis couldn’t help but give her one more kiss. I’m obsessed with how gorgeous and beautiful Emily looked in her dress as she joyfully spun around under the tree canopy. Outdoors, beneath the grand oak trees, you feel closer to nature, and God, and each other. It was the perfect way to celebrate the love that these two share.
