Woodland Wedding at Postoak Lodge
Emily and Travis are truly the kind of couple that makes you smile the moment you meet them, and we were so excited to photograph their wedding at Postoak Lodge in Tulsa, Oklahoma. One thing you quickly learn about Emily is that a little dirt on her dress is the least of her worries. She was completely focused on soaking in every moment of the day and celebrating with the people she loves most. Travis is just as wonderful—thoughtful, kind, and incredibly supportive. He was actually the one who first reached out to us and handled most of the communication during their wedding planning, which honestly says a lot. From the very beginning, he was all in—excited, organized, and clearly so ready to marry his best friend.
It was such a joy getting to know them throughout the process. We always love walking alongside our couples during the planning season, and in a fun twist we even ran into Emily and Travis at another wedding we were photographing for their friends. By the time their Tulsa wedding day arrived, it already felt like we were celebrating with old friends.
As guests arrived at Postoak Lodge, they were guided down a charming, bistro-lit path winding through the trees toward a beautiful woodland shelter. The ceremony felt tucked away in nature, with warm sunlight filtering through the oak branches overhead. Surrounded by family and friends, Emily and Travis laughed, cried, and promised their lives to one another. Watching them walk back down the aisle together and disappear into the trees was pure joy. Hand in hand and glowing with happiness, Travis couldn’t resist pulling Emily in for one more kiss.
Emily looked absolutely radiant in her dress, twirling beneath the canopy of oak trees with the biggest smile. There’s something special about celebrating outdoors, surrounded by towering trees and open sky—it brings a sense of peace, closeness, and reverence to the moment. It was the perfect setting to honor the love that Emily and Travis share and the beautiful life they’re beginning together.
