We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. The first line of the first email Nathan ever sent Sara was “You had me at Harry Potter.” Her online profile said she was a fan. We had the pleasure of meeting Sara years ago when we photographed her sister’s wedding. Then we got to meet Nathan, at Nathan’s brother’s wedding 2 years ago. This time with Sara in tow! They are meant for each other and their perfect matchup just starts with Harry Potter. Nathan and Sara are an adorable couple who always strive to add their personal touch as much as possible. They are both artistic and creative with a quirky outlook on life that adds a touch of magic to everything. The venue, Skelly Lodge, is a whimsical alpine mansion sitting on a ridge overlooking the wooded rolling hills just outside of Tulsa, OK. Eclectic centerpieces of old books, bottles, and trinkets accented the tables and crates prepared for the outdoor ceremony. Anticipating the hot day typical for an Oklahoma summer, Nathan’s guys simply sported suspenders and colorful ties. To top off the look, Nathan assembled paper boutonnieres made out each groomsmen’s favorite comic book. Sara was a beautiful summer bride in her flowy dress and must have watercolor floral shoes. And the floral Mod Cloth dresses for the girls were so cute! As the evening drew on, everyone packed into the lodge for food, homemade wedding cake and cupcakes, an epic popcorn bar, and lots of partying and dancing on the porch.
