We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
We first met James and Shannon because they took advantage of us being in Washington State to book their engagement session. During their engagement, we took them on a hike to find a hidden waterfall in the Snoqualmie Pass. We had such a blast with them! So, we were so excited when they wanted us to come back up to Washington State to photograph their wedding. Shannon is radiant and passionate about everything she does. James is laid-back, calm, and would do anything for Shannon. They are one of those couples that perfectly balances each other out. This time we were venturing into the state to the Tri-Cities area to Richland, WA. I would describe the area as a cross between the Pacific Northwest and Oklahoma, lol. It has the grassy plains of Oklahoma but also rivers, parks, and tall trees you expect from Washington. As you can imagine, we were in our element and ready to rock out a beautiful wedding. It was beautiful! We’ve been so lucky lately to be part of intimate weddings like this. The ceremony took place under a large tree in Howard Amon Park with a reception at Richland Community Center. The ceremony was officiated by Shannon’s best friend and they had the cutest sweethearts table. The best part was being able to get away to nature, just the two of them, to enjoy the last bit of light of the wedding day. The party wasn’t over yet! We all joined in for an afterparty at James and Shannon’s favourite pub.
Congrats James and Shannon! We surely had a blast knowing you two and meeting all your wonderful friends & families! We need to go on another adventure together! {We just want an excuse to come up to Washington State! lol} Friends, thank you all for stopping by and make sure to hit ‘Like’ or leave some Love {aka comments}. ♥
