We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We were so excited to celebrate with Mike and Reece for their Tulsa wedding at the Dresser Mansion. We fell in love with them during their engagement at the Tulsa Garden Center. They are a kind and loving couple. Reece is beautiful in her own right but she looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. Mike makes everyone smile around him {and has the best hair!}. Their first look reminded us why it’s one of our favorite times in a wedding day. Just seeing the joy on Mike’s face seeing his breathtaking bride for the first time. And their adorable daughter was the happiest little flower girl ever. She playfully pleaded for attention during their unplugged ceremony in the garden courtyard. You couldn’t help but smile. Reece’s dad has passed on but a photo of him in a charm tied around her bouquet reminded her that he was also there watching over them.
Mike and Reece danced and partied with their guests under the big white wedding tent. It was a beautiful summer day so everyone took advantage of the nice weather {and the open bar ;)}. Cute geometric terrariums filled with flowers decorated the tables. Instead of a cake, they opted for a candy bar filled with their favorite sweets. The Photo Booth snapped away and kept the party going in the library while Mike snuck off to have some celebratory cigars with his gents. We love intimate weddings like this and when couples aren’t afraid to break from tradition and really make it theirs. The only thing that truly matters on your wedding is love, family, friendship, and the commitment you are making to each other.
