We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
We felt a connection as soon as we met Jenny. We met at the local coffee shop that we frequent although it was Jenny that ended up getting our drinks since she was a barista. We always insist on meeting to make sure we’re a good match for everyone because our engagement sessions tend to be a bit more…adventurous. Our next adventure sounded like it would take us all the way to White Sands National Park in New Mexico!
We first met Chris after traveling to New Mexico. We hung out before the engagement shoot, talking and strolling around the local farmer’s market in Las Cruces just to get us all comfortable with each other {plus we might have picked up a couple doggie bandanas}. When you can truly see how much these two love each other, it just makes you so happy inside. We knew as soon as we met Jenny that she was an awesome person, there is just so much life in her. Then when we met Chris, together they just come alive…they make you feel so alive. We had lunch together at a delicious Italian restaurant nearby. One of the best parts of going on an adventure with Chris and Jenny was hearing their stories. They are so crazy in love with each other. And they are brave and genuinely compassionate humans. Love these two! Then we headed out for some time in the Organ Mountains. We had so many laughs with these two. Who knew that one of our favorite spots would be just off the side of a parking lot in Aguirre Springs Campground!
We ended our day running around White Sands National Park. The dunes are indescribable. It was as if Chris and Jenny were on top of the world! Or at least on the top of one of the many pure white sand dunes at this gorgeous location. We came home feeling blessed that we know them and their story better and feeling lucky to now call them friends. We are counting down the days to celebrate with them again for their Mayo Hotel Wedding.
