We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
When we first met Barry and Katie, we connected right away. They are such a kind couple and just too cute together. We later found out that we had actually all crossed paths before. We had photographed their cousins wedding 8 years ago and they were at the wedding! It’s so incredible to see how moments in life all start to fit together. Some things are meant to be, just like Barry and Katie finding each other. They told us they wanted engagement photos somewhere in nature. We had some ideas right away but as soon as Barry started describing his family farm, we knew that was it! Who could pass up cotton field engagement photos especially when the cotton fields where in bloom?! It was also perfect because not only does Barry’s family farm cotton but Katie’s family does too. We couldn’t have picked a better day to spend with these two. It was sunny with a cool breeze and it was the last nice weekend before getting hit with all the crazy ice storms that came through Oklahoma. And there’s nothing like driving down back country roads in the fall. It was so pretty! In fact we just had to stop for more photos. Barry and Katie are seriously so much fun to hang out with. They are so light-spirited and madly in love.
Thank you Barry and Katie for touring us around your gorgeous family farm and letting us hear all your stories. We can’t wait for your intimate winter wedding! Friends, thank you all for stopping by and make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
