Tim’s proposal to Tovan on the rooftop of Plenty Mercantile in Oklahoma City was filled with playful boho goodness and a vibrant party vibe. He wanted it to be a surprise but he also wanted it to be a grand celebration with all their friends at an epic spot. It had to be perfect! To pull it all off and keep it all a secret from Tovan, he carefully selected vendors and got lots of help from his closest friends. Booking the rooftop at The Venue at Plenty was a good start. It has a cool industrial vibe with happy plants and one of the best views of the OKC skyline. The perfect location for a rooftop proposal!
Tim needed a way to invite a bunch of people without anyone knowing that he was going to propose to Tovan. So, he planned it all on Tovan’s birthday! Except for a select few in on the plan, as far as anyone knew, they were attending a birthday party. So while Tovan’s girlfriends took her out for some drinks and appetizers, Tim, his friends {and us!} decorated the rooftop and planned it all out. Creative Etch Studio constructed a triangle arch decorated with pampas and dried palms and created beautiful custom signs for the after party. The Picnic Project provided the boho chic tables, pillows and wares to complete the look.
Tovan’s friends brought her to “the birthday party” just before the guests arrived. When she reached the top of the stairs, all she could see was Tim standing in front of the coolest arch against the city skyline looking lovingly back at her. She walked over, Tim got down on one knee, and he asked her to marry him. She said yes of course! It was perfect and beautiful! It may have been a bit of a blur through all the happy tears and hugs and laughter but it’s a day they will never forget. Soon after all their friends arrived, the drinks started flowing and the music started pumping. The party was legit with a DJ and even Mod Fox Photobooth was there! Congrats Tim and Tovan! So excited for your engagement and all the exciting days to come.
Can’t get over this sweet surprise proposal at sunset on the beautiful rooftop of Plenty. It was such an amazing day and they’re the absolute cutest and most adorable couple!
