We are Scott & Kristine, husband and wife alternative wedding photographers behind Blue Elephant Photography. We are based in Oklahoma with our furry boy Fuji. We’re big fans of love, travel, and adventures which takes us to Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and across the world. We are passionate about documenting genuine and uninhibited love between two people because telling their story matters.
It was our first time to McKinney, TX and we quickly discovered that it is a very special town. It’s just outside of Dallas but it is its own little world. Cory and Lauren got married at Gather in the heart of downtown McKinney. The downtown is exactly what you’d always hope a downtown could be. With Christmas around the corner, the sidewalks were full of windows shoppers popping in and out of specialty shops. At night it stays alive with Christmas carolers on the corner. Their wedding was even more amazing and perfectly fit this storybook town. Stepping into the venue, the atmosphere of the town follows you in with exposed brick walls and lots of chandeliers. I love the jewel tone colours Lauren chose, the rustic details, and all the old world charm. Everything was so pretty! The most beautiful part of the wedding was Cory and Lauren. You could see the excitement on their faces and all the love. Lauren looked so radiant. I love her dress and she had the most gorgeous bouquet. All the floral arrangements at their wedding were amazing. The wedding was a soiree of their closest friends and family and many people came from out of town to celebrate. Cory and Lauren both were so laid back and relaxed the entire time. It was truly a day full of heart and fun.
Congrats Cory and Lauren! What an amazing day! You two are wonderful human beings and I just know how happy you will make each other. From first meeting you, to your engagement session, and through your wedding day, it was awesome sharing this adventure with you both.
