Rustic Chic Wedding at Sparrow Beginnings
When planning a wedding, we always encourage our couples to be intentional and truly make the day their own. Traditions are wonderful, but nothing is set in stone anymore, and the most memorable weddings are the ones that reflect the couple’s unique story. That’s exactly what Corbit and Kelsey did, and their celebration at Sparrow Beginnings was nothing short of incredible. Friends and family traveled from 22 states to celebrate with them, and Corbit and Kelsey wanted to welcome everyone with a true Oklahoma experience — complete with a nod to Oklahoma State University. The day quickly became emotional in the best way when Kelsey shared a first look with her dad that morning. His surprise and joy were so touching, especially when he noticed the small printed photo on his tie of the two of them together when she was a little girl.
Corbit and his groomsmen looked effortlessly cool in their cowboy hats, while Kelsey absolutely glowed in her something-blue shoes and carried a vibrant bouquet of OSU orange lilies. Orange lilies accented with dried wheat grasses appeared throughout the day, bringing warmth and color to every corner of the celebration. Guests arriving for the ceremony were greeted by the sound of a bagpiper before being seated with a view of the rolling Oklahoma hills. Afterward, cattle tags served as escort cards, guiding guests to their tables and setting the tone for the lively celebration to come.
Over the years we’ve heard hundreds of best man speeches, and I can confidently say Corbit’s brother is one of the funniest speakers we’ve encountered. It was a challenge not to laugh while trying to keep the camera steady. The day continued with plenty of memorable moments — from a dramatic cake cutting with a sword to the couple’s getaway in a classic old Ford pickup truck. The entire celebration was filled with thoughtful personal touches, heartfelt moments, and so much joy. More than anything, it was simply a really fun day — the perfect reflection of Corbit and Kelsey themselves. They are truly one of the sweetest, kindest, and most gracious couples, and we couldn’t be happier for them as they begin this new chapter together.
