Windswept Engagement at Gloss Mountain
We’ve visited Gloss Mountain State Park many times over the years, but it never stops amazing us. The rugged mesas rise dramatically from the surrounding plains, their high white caps standing out against the wide-open Oklahoma sky. The Oklahoma panhandle has a quiet, unexpected beauty, and on this particular evening it felt even more magical. A recent rainfall had brightened the cliffs, and the white gypsum shimmered in soft rings along the rock faces. A fine dusting of it scattered across the ground like fresh snow, catching the light in the most surreal way.
It was the perfect setting to celebrate Nick and Jessie and this sweet season of their lives. The two of them wandered through the landscape laughing, exploring the trails together before making the climb up the steep slope to the top of Gloss Mountain. They truly are one of the cutest couples and they give eachother the very best hugs.
Wind is almost always part of the experience out there, but I’m convinced it was stronger than the forecasted 23 miles per hour, especially once we reached the top of the mesa. Still, we embraced whatever Mother Nature gave us and soaked in every moment of Nick and Jessie’s Gloss Mountain engagement session. We’re already counting down the days until their wedding later this year. With these two, it’s always a beautiful day.
It’s better with music!
Nick and Jessie’s engagement session at Gloss Mountain State Park perfectly showcases why this destination is one of Oklahoma’s most unique and scenic locations for engagement photography. With its striking white gypsum mesas, sweeping prairie views, and adventurous hiking trails, Gloss Mountain offers couples an unforgettable backdrop for romantic and natural engagement photos. If you’re dreaming of an Oklahoma engagement session that feels both dramatic and timeless, Gloss Mountain State Park is truly a hidden gem.
